Vegetation of Szczecin
At the end of the eighteenth century, developed in Europe the idea of -"garden city of tomorrow. " This idea also came to Szczecin. In the spring of 1810 years were planted ca. 1457 trees such as linden, chestnut, maple, rowan and poplars. There were planted a lot of ornamental shrubs as well. In 1910, the Szczecin area had a 430 500 square meters of greenery and parks, along the streets grow 7650 trees.
Currently, on the outskirts of Szczecin, there are large forest complexes, elements of which - in the form of parks, forest are incorporated to the city complex. Szczecin can be proud of plenty of beautiful trees and shrubs.
